Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or case number into one of the search tools on our site, that input goes straight to the third-party provider that runs the search. They process it and return results. Our systems do not retain or log the terms entered in those tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email and its contact details may be retained so that we can answer it. Correspondence is limited to our team. It is disclosed outside the organization only when a legal duty requires that step.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers can receive standard technical details whenever a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
The website uses cookies. Those small device files help measure how visitors use pages - which pages get the most traffic and where people tend to drop off. Analytics services help us aggregate that traffic data. Your browser settings let you block cookies whenever you want. Some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell databases of court dockets or personal case-record information. We publish general guidance about where Giles County court dockets and records are held and how to request them from the clerk of court, the trial courts that hold dockets, and the Tennessee appellate Public Case History system. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Anything you enter into those tools is processed under the partner's own privacy policy, not this one. Those partners set their own data-retention and sharing practices, and we do not control them. Read the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, Tennessee appellate case-history systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Following one of those links leaves this website. The destination's privacy terms then control the visit. Review those terms before supplying personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet-connected system is completely secure. We do what we can to keep your information secure, though we cannot promise a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone younger than eighteen. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be removed as soon as reasonably possible.
Your Data Rights
Rights depend on residence and applicable law. The Tennessee Public Records Act, including Tenn. Code Ann. § 10-7-503, and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 govern access to public and court records held by government custodians; they do not turn this private site into a government records office. Subject to applicable law, available choices may include the ability to:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. When we do, the updated version goes up on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to keep tabs on how we handle your information.
Effective date: September 6, 2026
